Margaret's love of houses began at an early age watching her mother restore a pre-civil war mansion in Leavenworth, Kansas. Many years later and after hundreds of toured homes, Margaret's parents built a stunning Italianate house replicating the glory of the 1890s and a "Sunday house" that is typical of the Texas hill country. It was the preparation work for these houses that gave Margaret her love of residential architecture. According to Margaret, "Houses have stories just like people do - and each is unique.
